The Shamanic Healers Circle (SHC) is a membership organisation for Shamanic Healers. It aims to promote Shamanic Healing and support Shamanic Healers achieve recognition with the Complimentary and Health Care Council (CNHC) of the UK.
The SHC has been developed to bridge Shamanic Healers from a variety of experiences and training and enable a ‘formal’ recognition of their healing skills, knowledge and understanding. The ‘formal’ recognition by the CNHC would put Shamanic Healing in a strong position should the UK decide to regulate complimentary healing or encompass complimentary healing into the NHS offering as proposed in the recent All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare, report, Integrated Healthcare: Putting the Pieces Together.
‘CCGs should be encouraged to support the development of innovative and entrepreneurial practices which redesign clinical pathways and deliver services that are needed locally, to include exploring opportunities to develop the use of complementary, traditional and natural health services to address the needs of patients with conditions for which there are Effectiveness Gaps’.
